China donates second part of second batch of humanitarian aid worth 20 million RMB to Pakistan following the July 2010 floods (Linked to Record ID#36809, #36801, #36722)

In late July 2010, Pakistan experienced the worst floods in 80-years due to heavy monsoon rains and strong winds.

In response, the Chinese government committed to donating a second batch of humanitarian aid worth a total 50 million RMB, which was delivered in two parts. The second part, worth 20 million RMB, was delivered to Islamabad on 25 August 2010. The first part of the second batch is captured in Record ID#36809.

The first batch is described in Record ID#36722 and the third batch is in Record ID#36801. All were financed by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
