Grant Description

In 2004, PNG Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare said 15m kina has been committed in grant aid by the Chinese government which brought the total aid from China this year to 24m kina, following the commitment by the Chinese vice-foreign minister of 9m kina. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
