China provides tour of agricultural facilities for Tongan delegation

On November 7th 2013, while attending the 3rd China International Green Creation Technology Product Expo, delegation from Tonga visited the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences' Environmental Horticulture Research Institute in China. This group included Tonga's Prime Minister, Lord Tuivakano. The delegation toured floriculture, banana growing, and plant nursery facilities.

Tonga’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Food and Fisheries (MAFFF) made appropriate arrangements for exchanging research findings and continuing dialogue with the Academy. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
