Grant Description
On June 29, 2004, the Chinese government signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) with the Fijian Government. The agreement was signed during the visit of Fiji Premier to China.
Under the agreement, the Chinese government is committed a grant of 25 million RMB (approximately 6 million Fiji dollars) in aid for economic and technical cooperation projects that will be decided upon by the two governments. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
