Grant Description

On May 26, 2009, the Chinese government granted $500,000 USD to Bolivia for the elementary (primary) school construction project in Orinoco Canton, a remote Andean village and hometown of Bolivian president Evo Morales. China's Ambassador to Bolivia Qu Shengwu and Bolivia's foreign minister Choquehuanca signed the letters of exchange.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
