Grant Description

On January 19, 2009, China delivered a 100,000 USD relief aid after a 6.2 Magnitude earthquake hit Costa Rica.

The strongest earthquake in 150-years in Costa Rica was estimated to affect 120,000 people and cause an economic loss of over 100 million dollars. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
