Grant Description

In late July 2010, Pakistan experienced the worst floods in 80-years due to heavy monsoon rains and strong winds.

On 20 September 2010, a 68-member medical rescue team from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) carrying 80 tons of medicine and other relief goods reached Pakistan. The value of this project is unknown and the length of their mission is unknown. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
