China grants $100,000 USD to Pakistan for disaster relief in February 2005

On February 15, 2005, the Chinese ambassador on behalf of the Chinese government transferred a $100,000 USD check to the Government of Pakistan for disaster relief efforts following floods produced by heavy rain and snow storms particularly in northern areas around Balochistan and Kashmir.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
