Grant Description

In January 2008, an agreement was signed between China and Afghanistan for the establishment of a Confucius Institute at Kabul University.

This project is funded by Hanban, a government organization that partners universities around the world with Chinese educational institutions to establish Confucius Institutes for the study of Chinese language and culture. The Chinese university involved with this project is Taiyuan University of Technology.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
