Grant Description

On November 7, 2001 Chinese Prime Minister Zhu Rongii announced a 40 million Chinese Yuan grant to Indonesia for infrastructure development.

In exchange for the donation, Indonesia granted China permission to re-open a branch of the Bank of China in Jakarta for the first time since 1967. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
