Grant Description

On 11 January 2007, the Chinese government donated non-military items to the Afghanistan National Army.

The value of this aid is US$2 million, and included 10 trucks, 12 Jeeps, 17 cars, 100 computers, 30 photocopy machines, 100 printers, 100 air conditioners, 140 TV sets, refrigerators, a diesel generator, shoes, tents, axes and shovels and electric fans. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
