Grant Description

On December 20, 2007 China and Nepal signed an agreement for China to provide a grant assistance equivalent to 50 million RMB (428.5 million Rs) for various development projects in Nepal.

Projects include the Rasuwagadi-Syafru Besi road, an optical fibre cable connecting Kathmandu and Lhasa, broadening the Khasa-Tatopani Road, and repairing the Miteri Bridge. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
