Grant Description

In September 2006 China donated 500 tons of rice to Myanmar to support its poppy-substitution program. The donation was formally handed over in Luakkai in the Shan State Special Region. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
