Grant Description
In May 2004 China donated sports equipment worth 5 million yuan to Myanmar at the National Indoor Stadium, as part of the sports cooperation program between the two countries.
The donation was agreed upon in January 2003, and included 14 categories of equipment- track and field, gymnastics, weight- lifting, cycling, wushu, volleyball, shooting, boxing, badminton, tennis, basketball, soccer, table tennis, and body building. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
