Grant Description
On June 2, 2005, the Confucius Institute in North-South University was founded.
On February 15, 2006, an inauguration ceremony was held to officially open the Confucius Institute in North-South University, to further Chinese language and cultural education in Bangladesh.
The institute is partnered with the Chinese University, Yunnan University, and is intended to cement ties between China and Bangladesh as well. Funding details for the construction of the institute were not available. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
