Grant Description

In 2002, the Chinese Government provided an RMB 50 million grant (Record ID#41981), an RMB 60 million grant (Record ID#33941), and an RMB 50 million interest-free loan (Record ID#39022) for the 6th Bangladesh-China Friendship Bridge Project.

These grant and interest-free loan commitments were codified in Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreements (ETCA) that were signed on January 11, 2002, and December 24, 2002. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
