Grant Description

In May 2009, China donated 20 million yuan (2.93 million US dollars) worth of tents to Sri Lanka.

The tents will be sent to Sri Lanka in four batches and is part of China's humanitarian for around 200,000 Tamil civilians displaced by the conflict between the government and the LTTE. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
