Grant Description

On October 3, 2008 China donated 1 million Sri Lanka Rupees to Sri Lanka to help those affected by recent floods and landslides.

Chinese Ambassador Ye Dabo handed over the donation to Sri Lankan Disaster Management and Human Rights Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
