Chinese Government provides 450 million LKR grant for Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition and Convention Centre Construction Project (Linked to Record ID#38914, #71573, #71574)

In 2001, the Chinese Government committed grant funding (worth 450 million LKR) to the Government of Sri Lanka for the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition and Convention Centre Construction Project. The construction of this building was dedicated to the memory of ex-PM Sirimavo Bandaranaike, who died in 2000.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
