Grant Description

In 2009, China’s Ministry of Commerce provided a grant worth CFAF 3 billion to the Government of Benin for the Agricultural Demonstration Center Construction Project. This project involved the construction of an agricultural demonstration center in the town of Sèmè-Kpodji.

It was one of 14 agricultural demonstration centers being funded by the Chinese Government in Africa under the framework of the Eight Aid Africa Initiatives at the Beijing Summit of the 2006 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
