Grant Description

On January 8, 2013, the Chinese government committed to grant 129 million USD to the government of Mauritania. The exact use of the funding is unclear. This grant was committed at the same meeting as a 131 million USD interest-free loan (see Record ID#30373). Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
