The Inter-European Tactical Combat Casualty Care (IETCCC) course is primarily designed for combat Emergency Medical Service military personnel, including medics, corpsmen, and para-rescue personnel deploying in support of combat operations.
The course is also applicable to non-medical military personnel and teaches medical first responder skills appropriate for all military members likely to engage in direct combat.
The course introduces evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing trauma care on the battlefield.
The course includes classroom academics, demonstrations, and application in an interactive environment using medical simulators.
Additionally, the final portion of the course is conducted as a field exercise, where students demonstrate tactical casualty care skills learned in the course in a simulated combat environment.
