International Counterproliferation Program (ICP): Countering WMD in the Maritime Environment (CWME Course

This CWME course was delivered to 35 Thai government participants from a variety of interagency partners, including the Thailand Maritime Enforcement Command Center, Marine Department, National Security Council, Central Institute of Forensic Science, Department of Special Investigations, Customs Department, Royal Thai Navy, Port Authority of Thailand, and office of Atoms for Peace.

The course addressed the potential of WMD proliferation, movement, and incidents occurring in and around the host nations maritime ports, and provided an overview of the various methods used to detect and deter such movement. All techniques focused on a whole-of-government response.
