International Counterproliferation Program (ICP): CWMD Workshop: Trend Analysis

ICP delived the CWMD Workshop to thirty-five attendees from twelve countries and international organizations.

The Trends Forum provided an opportunity for governmental officials, international and national subject matter experts, researchers, and other relevant stakeholders to exchange information, share experience and expertise on current and emerging threats trends in this field, and, wherever possible, link these trends to the progress in the implementation of national C-WMD regulatory framework, strategies and action plans.

The outcome of this process was a Forum Statement on regional proliferation trends.

Additionally the forum explored the important facets of the risks, threats and challenges associated with proliferation and hopefully the resulting discussions will underline the importance of analysis for policy development and stimulate civil sector awareness-raising.
