China renovates anti-malaria center in Maputo

In April 2008, the Chinese Government and the Government of Mozambique signed a grant agreement to establish a malaria control center in Maputo.

This project involved the construction of laboratories and training rooms, the provision of equipment, and the dispatching of doctors to train staff.

The center began operations on October 30, 2009, and it was officially handed over to the authorities on November 25, 2009. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
