Grant Description

The Timebound Program will seek to eliminate the worst forms of child labor in urban and rural areas of the Philippines in specified sectors through a multi-dimensional approach that includes the withdrawal and rehabilitation of children from work, prevention of younger siblings and at-risk children from entering employment, provision of non-formal education, and income-generating opportunities for families.

Sectors will include children in agriculture, deep-sea fishing, mining/quarrying, pyrotechnics, and commercial sexual exploitation.

A total of 25,000 children will be targeted for prevention and/or withdrawal from the aforementioned sectors over a 3-year period.

The project will also aim to strengthen linkages between Governments, nongovernmental organizations, and international financial institutions both at the local, regional, and national levels. - Through World Vision.
