Grant Description

This program will develop and implement educational and vocational programs as a means to combat the worst forms of child labor in Peru. Child labor in artisan mining in the department of Puno will be specifically targeted.

The program will improve access to quality basic education for children working or at risk of working in exploitative child labor.

The program will include components of awareness raising, teacher training, development and distribution of locally relevant educational materials, vocational training, institutional strengthening, and mobilization of resources for education. - Through International Labour Organisation.
