CNPC funds poverty relief project in Sudan

On November 18, 2010, China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) Nile Vice President, Qin Anjiang, and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) Secretary General, Yang Qinghai, signed an agreement to fund the organization carrying out poverty relief project in Sudan.

Chinese ambassador to Sudan Li Chengwen, CNPC Nile President Sun Xiansheng and Deputy Director-General of CNPC International Department Pei Ying were present at the signing ceremony. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
