Grant Description

On September 5, 2009, the Chinese ambassador to the Sudan, Li Chengwen, and the Deputy Governor of South Darfur State, Abdel Aziz Adam al-Hilu, inaugurated the newly completed Chinese-built school in Nyala, South Darfur State, Sudan called the China-Sudan Friendship Primary School. The school has 32 classrooms, six teachers' offices, 600 sets of chairs and desks, and a small football pitch.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
