Grant Description

According to a press release from the Government of Lesotho, the Chinese Government provided a grant worth LSL 9.62 million to the Government of Lesotho in 2006.

Officials from the two government signed an exchange of letters in September 2007 to allocate funds for the construction of two rural schools in Thaba-Tseka district and Qacha’s Nek district (also see: Aug '12 Embassy speech). Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
