Local Health Systems Sustainability (LHSS)

The project will support USAID Missions, the Bureau for Global Health, and other operating units, in planning and implementing health system strengthening (HSS) programs, with the overall goal of improving health and transitioning capacity to local partners.

Objective 1: Increased financial protection Reduce financial barriers, through a mix of public and private interventions, so that the cost neither prevents people from accessing essential health services nor causes financial hardship.

Objective 2: Increased coverage to all populations Ensure equitable access to essential services for poor, underserved, and socially excluded populations, resulting in equitable outcomes.

Objective 3: Increased quality of essential health services Improve quality of patient centered services to align with evidence-based guidelines and standards of care.
