Grant Description

Bioplastic cups, bottles and even shoes – bioplastics emerge in various products. Most of these products are treated as 'normal' waste at the end of their life. Yet, to create a circular economy, effective and efficient recycling must take place.

In this project, a promising bioplastic recycling technology is tested and assessed for its technical and commercial feasibility.

Laboratory experiments will be conducted to test the usefulness of different specific waste streams, and stakeholders will be approached to identify needs and commercial opportunities. This way, we identify promising implementations, and work towards a thriving start-up that realizes societal impact.
