I hereby ask for funding to participate in the 2025 NASA Mars 2020 Science Team meeting, Oslo, Norway, June 10-13.
The Mars 2020 mission is one of the most high-profile scientific investigations, associated with sampling, caching, and possible later return of samples from the martian surface.
The Perseverance rover seeks signs of ancient life and investigates and documents the geologic evolution and history of the landing site, Jezero crater.
Participation in the mission means continued presence of researchers at Swedish institutions in state-of-the-art planetary investigations, and increases chances of presence in future international high profile planetary geoscience missions, as I continue to gain experience in operations of rover investigations.
In-person participation at the meeting means an opportunity to showcase serious involvement from researchers in Sweden, and presents a unique opportunity to meet colleagues and strengthen existing collaborations and start new ones.
