Useful! – on work environment research

The web journal ”Useful!” reports, in  four editions a year, about results from work environment research and how they can be used in the workplaces.The journal has been published since 2010, and since 2014 it has received support from Forte.

And since six years the cooperative “Working life journalists” and Luleå Tekniska universitet in cooperation stand behind the publication of “Useful”.

We are now applying for support for three more years.The goal is to make the results of work environment research understandable and usable for:ManagersSafety representativesRegional work environment representativesUnion representativesWork environment specialists working for the trade unions and employer organisationsLocal work environment specialists, HRResearchersJournalists writing about work environment issuesPoliticians who are interested in occupational health and safety issuesArticles on new research results and interviews with researcher, are combined with reportages from work places.

The journal also provides web links to useful web sites.

Every article is searchable, with a search engine and via theme groups.

We are spreading the publication on social media platforms, mainly Facebook and LinkedIn.It all began like this: In 2010, Arbetslivsjournalisterna, sought support from AFA Insurance, within the framework of the “From Word to Action” research program, to open and run a web journal on the results of work environment research and how these can be useful in the workplace.

The support was from the beginning limited to a start up period of three years.
