Äldre i Centrum Vetenskapligt Supplement, ÄiCVS, is a newly established scientific peer review journal with original research in Swedish on older people´s living conditions, health and situation in society.Making research results available in Swedish promotes long-term practice- and clinic-related knowledge building.
We welcome contributions from all research areas related to older people and ageing, from biological aging processes to issues related to care, care and welfare for older people.
We strive to publish articles with high relevance and usefulness.ÄiCVS is published by Stockholm Gerontology Research Center (Stiftelsen Stockholms läns Äldrecentrum). A Chief Editor with a PhD is responsible for the day-to-day work.
The journal´s scientific advisory board assesses the relevance of article manuscripts and makes decisions on publication.
Together with the editorial board, the Council appoints scientific reviewers for each manuscript and is involved in the review process.ÄiCVS is aimed at a broad audience of researchers, practitioners and clinicians, decision-makers, an interested public and, not least, older people themselves. The first issue was published on paper and on the website www.aicvs.se at the beginning of 2021.
We will continue to publish peer-reviewed articles on an ongoing basis online and on paper at least once a year. The print run is 2,500 copies and distribution is mainly done together with the paper edition of the magazine Äldre i Centrum.
In addition to the published articles, the aicvs.se website contains information about the journal, as well as author instructions and the possibility to sign up for a newsletter. An ageing society makes it increasingly important to disseminate new scientific knowledge whose application can meet the needs of health and social care, as well as preventive measures for healthier ageing.
A grant from Forte would significantly contribute to strengthen the ÄiCVS, both in paper form and digitally.
