Grant Description

Arbetsmarknad & Arbetsliv (A&A) is an Open access Swedish scientific journal whose purpose is to publish and disseminate knowledge about the labour market and working life and thereby stimulate knowledge exchange and debate. The journal has a social and behavioural scientific approach.

Besides researchers in the field, also students and other stakeholders interested in working life issues such as politicians, social partners and decision-makers in government and organizations are target groups. A&A was founded 1995 by the National Worklife Institute, and was transferred to Karlstad university in 2007.

Since then, A&A has in average published 15 peer-reviewed articles along with book reviews, essays and debates/controversies in four printed issues a year. Thereby A&A plays an important role in dissemination research results in Sweden, and in the Nordic countries. From 2019 the journal is published in four digital issues and one printed collected volume each year.

Up till today, the total amount of downloaded articles is 431 063. A&A is using a double blind peer-review process with reviewers with expertise in the manuscripts´ topics.

The reject rate is 40 procent (the period 2020-01-01–2024-09-29) and A&A is placed at level 1 on the Norwegian register of scientific journals and publishers.

The editors and the editorial committee consist of nine researchers from different disciplines and from different universities, including Norway and Finland. There is also an editorial board of ten researchers who form a wide group of established work life researchers.

Hence, the editors, editorial committee and the editorial board guarantee quality, scientific breadth and dissemination.
