The occupational and environmental spring meeting in 2025 will be held at AF-Borgen in Lund 8-9 May. We expect around 350 participants.
In conjunction to the spring meeting several “pre-meetings” are arranged on the 7th of May in which different professions and associations are given the opportunity to meet in person. The conference is the most important and largest meeting for actors within the field of occupational and environmental medicine and it returns annually at either one of the seven occupational and environmental medicine clinics in Sweden.
It constitutes an invaluable possibility for researchers to disseminate their research to clinics and occupational health services as well as working life representatives and government officials.
Furthermore, it offers the opportunity for interdisciplinary collaborations and networking that can lead to new research projects and provides practitioners with the prerequisites for evidence-based decisions.
Subject-wise, the conference focuses on both health and working life, which are two of Forte’s research areas. At the meeting, keynote lectures are mixed with shorter presentations distributed over three parallel sessions.
In Lund, 4 keynote lectures and 18 sessions are planned with a broad span of topics ranging from the challenges that the green transition poses on the work environment to how AI can be used in health care.
There will be focus on the growing societal problem with mental illness at workplaces, and the topic is covered in several sessions.
Other areas that are covered are, for example, ergonomic strain and hand-arm-vibration-syndrome, health effects of environmental exposure and its monitoring, planetary health, the impact of working life on reproduction and fetuses, conditions for a sustainable working life, new chemical exposures in working life and how to work safe.
