The FISS conference ‘Responding to the Crisis: Social Security in a Post-Pandemic World’ is an international research conference to be held in Sigtuna, 6-8 June 2022.
The conference will provide an opportunity for scholars to discuss the social policy consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as reflect and exchange ideas on social security and welfare in wake of the crisis.
The conference is truly multidisciplinary and divided into paper sessions where subthemes of the conference are discussed, and plenaries with invited speakers. Conference papers are subject to a selection process. Accepted papers are published online.
We expect about 80 participants for this conference, many from countries outside Sweden and from different parts of the world.
The conference is organized by the Swedish Institute for Social Research at Stockholm University in collaboration with the Foundation for International Studies on Social Security (FISS). The conference is financed by fees and external grants. The latter covers invited plenary speakers and a conference dinner.
The best conference paper will be published in Journal of Poverty and Social Justice.
