Grant Description

FATAKP Health Program is implemented in collaboration with the Departments of Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province and of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) to improve access to quality health care services for women and children.

The program covers the Malakand Division (all seven districts) in KP and four agencies in the FATA (North and South Waziristan, Mohmand and Bajaur).

It supports efforts towards the achievement of Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5 by the Governments of KP and the FATA .

The program addresses supply and demandrelated barriers to increased use of key services (Maternal, Newborn and Child Health [MNCH], as well as Family Planning [FP]) along the householdtohospital continuum of care. OBJECTIVES 1. Improve access to and availability of quality integrated MNCH and FP Services 2.

Increase community acceptance for MNCH and FP services and community empowerment to create enabling policy environment in targeted communities. 3. Strengthen health system for improved MNCH and FP service delivery in target communities in FATA and KP
