Grant Description

On March 11, 2010, the Chinese government donated medical equipment worth 64 million TZS to the Zanzibar government.

The equipments were handed over by Zhu Xiangjun, head of the Chinese medical team in Zanzibar, and were received by the Zanzibar Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Sultan Mohd Mughery. Some of the equipments would go to serve in the theater at Mnazi mmoja general hospital. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
