Grant Description

Action for West Africa Region II (AWARE II), was a three-year project (July 2009-July 2012) that aimed to create a positive and collaborative operating environment for expansion of health service delivery at the country level throughout the region.

In addition to improving the policy environment, USAID AWARE II developed an integrated package of interventions in three technical areas: reproductive health/family planning (RH/FP); HIV & AIDS; and maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH).
