Grant Description

Chinese Government commits $4.5 million interest-free loan for unspecified purposes On September 24, 2007, China announced an agreement to provide Ghana with an interest-free loan worth 4.5 million USD to support the country's development.

This agreement followed talks between President John Agyekum Kufuor and Chinese Foreign Minister Mr Yang Jiechi on the sidelines of the 62nd session of the UN General Assembly in New York. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
