Grant Description

To develop safe, effective and acceptable methods of family planning, HIV prevention, and other reproductive health technologies for use in developing countries.

The primary focus of the CONRAD program is on product research and development, beginning with targeted or applied research studies and progressing to clinical trials (Phase I through III).

The program supports subprojects conducted by scientists worldwide, and capacity building for researchers and clinical trial sites in developing countries.

It also supports laboratory and clinical research conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Eastern Virginia Medical School.
