<p><strong>The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none).
CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $20,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.</strong></p><p>You will advance progress towards achieving the 95-95-95 targets and continue to transition site-level support to local governments in Central America (CA) for:</p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>El Salvador.</li><li>Guatemala.</li><li>Honduras.</li><li>Nicaragua.</li><li>Panama.</li></ul><p>To achieve the goals of this NOFO, you will address gaps in:</p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>HIV prevention.</li><li>Diagnosis.</li><li>Life-saving treatment.</li></ul><p>Proposed activities should facilitate country ownership while improving local capacity to:</p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Make sure HIV prevention is available for populations most at risk, through the Sentinel Surveillance of STI and HIV Strategy (VICITS).</li><li>Provide testing that leads to active linkage to HIV treatment and prevention services.</li><li>Improve early HIV diagnosis through active case-finding strategies, including:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Testing as outreach for populations most at risk for HIV.</li><li>Index, provider-initiated, and community testing.</li><li>Social network strategy.</li><li>Self-testing.</li></ul></li><li>Support the integration of comprehensive care and treatment services, including for HIV, TB, and other opportunistic infections.</li><li>Build capacity of healthcare workers to provide high-quality health services led by the country, and through continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.</li><li>Make sure adequate data systems are used to monitor progress toward 95-95-95 targets and other global health priorities.</li><li>Support sustainable health systems that improve:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Efficiency.</li><li>Country ownership of the program.</li></ul></li><li>Global health security to fight priority infectious diseases and other public health threats.</li></ul><p> </p>
