Cooperative Agreement for affiliated Partner with the North Atlantic Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit

The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research focused on understanding the immunological and ecological dynamics of avian influenza spread, persistence, and transmission in wild bird species.

This research will: 1) advance understanding of basic avian influenza ecology in wild bird host species, and 2) pair transcriptomics to traditional infection and serologic testing methods to enhance our understanding of host susceptibility and infection response.
