The Western Indian Ocean’s rich ecosystems generate over $20.8bn annually, yet face rapid degradation, threatening coastal communities.
This project pilots an innovative seascape financing model in Tanzania’s RUMAKI seascape, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, to support 28,000 people through sustainable blue economy livelihoods.
