There are great opportunities to use AI, ML and DL to control power electronics and improve its performance and efficiency. This project aims to develop the technology and business of a control component based on ML and DL methods, in order to increase the performance of power electronic converters.
Converters are used where electrical power conversion (AC/DC, DC/AC, DC/DC) takes place. Examples of possible areas of use are, for example, battery storage, solar power, wind power and operation, as well as charging of EVs. The goal of a converter is a perfect sine wave without distortion or spikes for intended end use. All to optimize the use of electricity without losses during conversion and good power quality.
The project is conducted by Eneryield in close contact with market actors. The goals are to analyse the first area of use, achieve more simulated tests in relation to the first application, develop the business model and secure partnerships for testing in a real environment.
