Blås Energy, together with a project group with actors from the energy sector, industry organizations and authorities, wants to investigate how a wind power-based solution can replace the Swedish emergency response system for energy supply in crisis. The purpose of the project is to investigate the societal effects of using wind energy in combination with battery storage and hydrogen in an off-grid solution in everyday life and crisis as a replacement for today's fossil fuel reserves.
Blås Energy with 15-years of experience in the wind power industry has completed several greenfield projects and is a partner to Vestas repowering. We are well aware of the conditions and challenges facing the Swedish wind power.
The project goal is a clear guide to how our civil defence needs to adjust to manage a renewable energy supply during a crisis, and how wind power with energy storage should be sufficiently robust and flexible to handle a rapid transition from normal operation to crisis mode.
