In this project, the interaction between fossil-free freights and resilience in the Swedish transportation system is explored.
The project aims to develop a framework that seeks to better understand the conflicts of interest and synergies between increased fossil-free freights and resilience, and the strategies available to guide a development that is beneficial for both these objectives.
The framework also contributes to a better understanding of the various requirements, logics, and goals of different actors in the transportation system concerning fossil-free freights and resilience.
Electrification and digitalization - and ultimately the entire energy consumption of the transportation system - are key factors in this context.
The project is carried out by researchers at Linköping University and the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, as well as five companies operating in various parts of the transportation system. The project takes a stance in paradox theory.
