The project "Agroclimate AB for energy-efficient climate control in greenhouses" aims to address two major challenges: Sweden's dependence on imported food and the efficient use of industrial waste heat.
By combining these two aspects, the project strives to develop a business idea that contributes to sustainable, local food production in greenhouses heated by industrial waste heat, using innovative Wall Confluent Jet (WCJ) technology.
This technology is applied to create a stable climate environment in the greenhouse, increasing production efficiency and reducing energy costs.
If successful, the project could not only help reduce Sweden's dependence on food imports, but also create new, green jobs and contribute to a more circular economy.
Moreover, it would enable the efficient and sustainable use of the underutilized resource of low-temperature waste heat.
